lily loves drawing.
lily loves stamps.
lily loves cards.
lily loves getting her hands all inky.
this was the perfect project for lily!
INGREDIENTS...
*erasers
*pencil
*paper - one piece of computer paper, a few pieces of card stock.
*ink pads - the more colors the merrier.
*linoleum cutter - i have no idea why i had one but i did! you can find them here
HOW TO...
1. make little boxes on a piece of paper.
2. have your kid draw pictures in pencil inside the little boxes.
3. cut out all of the little boxes.
4. turn one of the little boxes over and place it on top of an eraser. rub the back of the paper with pencil to transfer the design. you could totally have your child draw right onto the eraser but my kid gets obsessed with messing up so i avoided drama by doing it this way!
5. cut the eraser to the size of the picture.
6. use the linoleum cutter to carve out the lines of the design. this step is fantastically meditative.
7. stamp away! clean the stamp on a wipe in between each color.
8. make cards, wrapping paper, gift tags, pictures whatever. you can even color things in if you want with pen or marker. add glitter, beads, emboss them, write captions on them - go to town peoples!
