every year, for mother's day, my kids' daycare gives me a plant from my kids.
actually, they give me dirt in a painted cardboard pot from my kids.
and every year, i OBSESS about making it grow!
for some crazy reason, i think that plant REPRESENTS my kids.
and i want to keep it healthy...
and make it happy...
and make it blossom...
and flourish...
and bright!
so i take it...
and i LOVE IT!
i really love up these plants!
i water them, i move them around my apartment, i talk to them!
YES!
i totally talk to my plants!
and...
they grow...
and grow...
and grow!
i've had to move them into bigger pots, and bigger pots, and one of them i even had to break in half and replant the other half outside my apartment because it was so crazy big!
and another one (pictured above) started to grow gerber daisys!
how gorgeous!
my odd flower obsessed doorman told me that they gerber daisy's are really hard to grow.
what can i say?
i'm a good plant mommy!
plants are easy.
it's my real kids...
i wish i could just put them in the sun, give them a spritz every, and say nice things to them to make them grow up so nicely!
oh man, parenting is HARD!

I'm the opposite. I'm a horrible plant mommy. Everything I have ever planted has died. It made me very very nervous about having a baby. But she turns 3 next week. Which means that she has lasted longer than any of my plants ever did.
I suck at keeping plants alive! I'm much better at keeping real babies alive and growing. Hah.
Thanks Abby, that's adorable indeed. For all the dearest Mom's around the world,a joyful Mother's day beforehand.
lol:)
